In this role, you will focus on deploying and maintaining cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, supporting critical banking applications, and ensuring seamless integration with on-premise systems. You will implement best security practices, manage disaster recovery plans, and establish monitoring systems to support 24x7 operations. Your hands-on experience with cloud initiatives in the banking or financial services sector will be instrumental in driving our cloud modernization efforts while maintaining compliance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee the organization’s cloud environments within AWS and Azure, including resource organization and account management.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and re-architecture projects for banking applications.
• Enforce security best practices across all cloud platforms, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Manage cloud storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with banking industry compliance requirements.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to ensure high availability and performance for global banking systems.
• Coordinate incident response and on-call support, ensuring rapid resolution of-critical issues in a 24x7 environment.
• Apply ITIL service management practices to incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes.
• Maintain accurate configuration management records and documentation, ensuring ISO and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize cloud spending with tagging, chargeback models, and collaboration with financial teams.
• Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Standardize operating system images and base configurations to ensure consistency and security.
• Work closely with regional teams to deliver consistent service levels and support.
• Lead and mentor cloud engineers and support personnel, managing multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
• Engage with cloud vendors and support teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and inventories to enable support and compliance.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, specifically within banking or financial services environments.
• Proven experience supporting mission-critical systems in a 24x7, global banking setting, including incident management and on-call rotations.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and configuration management practices.
• Expertise in cloud networking, security, and identity management specific to regulated industries.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Experience leading cloud projects and managing technical teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Flexible to support after-hours maintenance and incident response as needed.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Relevant banking or financial industry certifications, such as CCNP, CISSP, or cloud-specific certifications.
• Experience with compliance standards such as PCI DSS, SOX, or FFIEC guidelines.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Experience with cost analysis and optimizing cloud spend in highly regulated environments.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure within banking or financial services.

• Must be located in the NYC area and eligible to work in the USA without any type of work visa.
• Ability to work in a regulated environment with strict compliance standards.
