Job Overview – Operations Associate
Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid onsite 4 days per week)
Boutique Fund is hiring an Operations Associate in Stamford, CT.
You will support investment data management, portfolio reporting, and fund operations across diverse equities transactions. In this hybrid role, you will prepare investment lifecycle schedules, reconcile deal activity, manage allocation inputs, and support capital call and distribution workflows while leveraging advanced Excel, Power Query, and data tools to ensure accuracy, controls, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:
- Investment Lifecycle Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile investment schedules from acquisition through exit, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Deal Onboarding & Portfolio Data Management: Partner with deal teams to onboard investments, maintain portfolio data, and update key financial metrics and models.
- Equity Allocation & Valuation Support: Execute equity allocation models and ensure valuation results are accurately reflected across systems and reporting.
- Capital Activity & Investor Reporting: Support capital calls, distributions, and investor communications while reconciling investor and co-investor cash flows.
- Controls, Custody & Compliance: Maintain custody records, support public market transaction reporting, and assist with audits, regulatory filings, and process improvements.
Qualifications include:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related course of study.
- Experience: 3+ years of fund operations and/or portfolio accounting experience with a Asset Manager, Investment Advisor or Fund Administrator.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of equities operations, settlements, capital calls, distributions, equity allocations, valuation concepts, and investment lifecycle reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency required including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and VBA; good understanding of OMS trade flow and accounting / portfolio management systems.
- Data & Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with data tools or querying data warehouses preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical and systems-savvy professional with strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, ownership mindset, and the ability to manage complex datasets in a fast-paced investment environment.
