This position offers a unique chance to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring high operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service across multiple markets and asset classes. If you’re passionate about leveraging your analytical expertise to drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced financial environment, this is the role for you.

We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of relevant banking IT experience who are local to the NYC area and authorized to work without visa sponsorship.

In summary, you will:

  • Map and maintain “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and workflows across multiple markets and asset classes.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with operations, products, IT, and external vendors to design and implement scalable solutions for the global custody system.
  • Support application configuration, data validation, and integration with upstream/downstream systems related to trade capture, settlement, asset servicing, and reporting.
  • Define and execute test plans and test cases; support SIT/UAT, defect triage, and sign-off, ensuring high-quality releases into production.
  • Maintain a reusable library of test cases and business rules for key custody functions. Monitor production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement of system stability, controls, and efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements relevant to global custody operations.
  • Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials for operations and other business users.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience in banking IT or financial services technology roles with system level analytic experience; Global Custody, securities services, or post-trade operations experience strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of global custody processes including settlement, corporate actions, income processing, reconciliation, and client reporting
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and writing BRDs, FRDs, or user stories
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with root-cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project environments and tools such as ServiceNow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or diagramming tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable to changing business needs including occasional after-hours work

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working directly with external vendors or in integrating cross-system solutions
  • Knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance standards related to custody operations
  • Prior experience with trade capture, settlement, asset servicing, or reconciliation systems
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies beyond Agile, such as Waterfall

Preferred Education and Experience:

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and extensive experience—ideally at least 4 to 8 years—in banking IT or related financial services technology roles will be well-suited for this position. Proven success in requirements gathering, process optimization, and system implementation will be highly valued.

If you have the relevant banking IT background, are local to NYC, and are eligible to work without sponsorship, we invite you to apply and become a key contributor to our global custody solutions.
